TWCA has announced the addition of Jack Karlin as Program Administrator.

Turfgrass Water Conservation Alliance has new program administrator

Jack earned his Bachelor’s of Environmental Science from Oregon State in 2013 where he specialized in water science and policy with special emphasis on the principles of Integrated Water Resource Management (IWRM).  A member of the American Water Resource Association since 2013, he has participated in many professional development seminars covering IWRM case studies, drought and flood planning, and ecological services valuation.

Jack’s primary emphasis for the coming year is to grow membership of the TWCA.   Relationships of special interest are architects, irrigation specialists and landscape designers.  By developing new and dynamic partnerships with a broad spectrum of members TWCA will have myriad strategies to deal with the issues of water conservation.

Another key issue in the coming year is increasing awareness of the TWCA among water management professionals. By emphasizing the important ecological services communities derive from healthy lawns he seeks to engage municipalities in the efforts to provide long term solutions to urban water use concerns.

Realizing the TWCA is only as strong as its members’ involvement Jack brings a strong background in customer service and will work to make the TWCA the best stewards we can be for consumers and members alike.
