AstroTurf partners with D1Baseball.com

The iconic AstroTurf brand has roots in the game of baseball that are legendary, and now their connection to the college game is branching out online. AstroTurf has established a sponsorship program with D1Baseball.com, the web’s leader in content dealing exclusively with Division I baseball.

This new deal was struck in March of this year, making AstroTurf an official partner of D1Baseball.com. The partnership allows AstroTurf to support several channels of social media and website content delivered by D1Baseball.

“We are thrilled to partner with AstroTurf at D1Baseball,” announced Kyle Peterson, owner of D1Baseball and lead college baseball analyst for ESPN. “AstroTurf is a brand synonymous with the changing game of baseball and they are continually striving to grow the game. It’s a brand that has remained at the forefront of baseball for decades and we look forward to a great relationship.”

D1Baseball.com was launched in 2003 and has become a one-stop shop for all things college baseball. Headquartered in the college baseball mecca of Omaha, D1Baseball offers scores, schedules, and standings as well as news, analysis, and commentary. The site is also known for its independent top 25 rankings.

“No other college baseball source offers the invaluable data or the unrivaled expertise found at D1Baseball.com,” said Troy Squires, President of AstroTurf. “We’re really excited to team up with D1B.”

AstroTurf’s commitment to college baseball has been evident for decades. The company’s persistent focus on technological improvements has earned their product line a reputation in the baseball world as the most naturally playing synthetic turf systems on the market. It’s no wonder that 80% of all Division I programs with artificial surfaces play on AstroTurf. AstroTurf is an official partner of the American Baseball Coaches Association, and they are broadening their advocacy of the game by supporting websites like D1Baseball.com and Skipper’s Dugout.- by Lulu Ramadan, Palm Beach Post (Florida)
