Toro has announced a number of key promotions, including Rick Rodier’s appointment to vice president of Toro’s Commercial Business. Rodier, a 31-year veteran of the company, succeeds Brad Hamilton, who has been promoted to group vice president, in charge of Toro’s Commercial and International Businesses.
Rodier has been with Toro since 1987 and has held a variety of operational, marketing and business management roles. He was named general manager of Toro’s Landscape Contractor Business in 2004, and then appointed to head Toro’s Sitework Systems Business in 2009. During his tenure at Toro, he has been instrumental in a number of key company initiatives that have driven growth for the Sitework Systems Business and the company. In his new role as vice president of Toro’s Commercial Business, Rodier will be responsible for overall strategic management of the business as part of Toro’s executive management team.
Additionally, Dan O’Brien, CSE, has been promoted to director of sales, North America for Toro’s Commercial Business, a position previously held by Jim Heinze, who recently retired. O’Brien has also held a number of positions at Toro, most recently serving as vehicle sales manager since 2016. Previously, O’Brien served in executive management roles at Club Car and Superior Golf Cars of Minnesota.
Another recent organizational change is Grant Young’s promotion to managing director, global product development for the Toro Commercial Business. Young has also held a number of management roles across multiple divisions at Toro, including the Residential and Landscape Contractor Business in managing partnership efforts with The Home Depot. Prior to that, Young served as the director of marketing, North America for the Toro Commercial Business, a position now held by Randy Harris. Harris has been serving as director of marketing, North America since 2015, and has also held management roles in other divisions across Toro, including Business Development and the Landscape Contractor Business.
