Aquatrols – the world’s largest manufacturer of soil surfactants and related technologies, unveiled plans to extend their conservation efforts beyond the company with a new non-profit organization. Introduced at the 2019 Golf Industry Show, The FairWays Foundation will help fund local and global projects, as well as educational events, that advance conservation and stewardship efforts within the turf industry.

First presented at the BIGGA Turf Management Exhibition in the U.K. and subsequently at GIS in San Diego, the foundation has been well received on both sides of the Atlantic. Key speakers at the events encouraged industry professionals to get involved in a number of ways, including submitting project funding applications, becoming a committee member, or contributing to the funding of the foundation – either directly or indirectly through the purchase of Aquatrols products.

Aquatrols President and CEO, Matthew Foster, also spoke at the events regarding how Aquatrols plans to put its conservation first mindset into action by pledging to commit a percentage of their revenue to help fund the foundation.

“Taking care of the environment shouldn’t be up to someone else,” Foster said. “And I believe Aquatrols can take a leadership position in making a difference in a way that goes beyond a conversation.”

The Foundation expects to begin accepting formal submissions for grants by the end of 2019. Those interested in the foundation can visit thefairwaysfoundation.com for ongoing updates about the foundation.
