Wiedenmann hosts 9th annual dealer sales meeting

From March 11-13, Wiedenmann hosted nearly 40 dealers from across the country in Savannah, GA to demo their golf course maintenance equipment, including the new Super 1300S Turf Sweeper, Triple Spike 375 and the Triple Disc 375.

Guests arrived for a meet and greet on Monday night, where they enjoyed a meal at a local restaurant, Prohibition, and explored the historic city of Savannah. The meeting got underway on Tuesday morning where participants gathered at Savannah Harbor Golf Course for a crash course on the full line of Wiedenmann products on fairways, tees, and greens. Three stations hosted over seventeen machines for viewing, demonstrating, and trial. Following lunch, the group split up for a round of golf at Savannah Harbor or for shooting sporting clays at the nearby Forest City Gun Club, where a friendly competition offered a prize to whomever shot the most targets.

The first day concluded with dinner at the historic Vic’s on the River.  Then, the Wiedenmann team handed out awards to their highest selling dealers for 2018. “We’re so proud of the work that Greenville Turf and Tractor did for us in 2018 and appreciate the business relationships that Wiedenmann has with its North American dealers,” said Wiedenmann owner, Juergen Wiedenmann. Some of the other dealers receiving awards along with Greenville Turf and Tractor were Stotz Equipment and Van Wall Equipment, and the Salesman of the Year went to Bubba Jones with Greenville Turf and Tractor.

On Wednesday morning, the meeting continued with a presentation including a review of 2018, an overview of social networks and marketing, a Core Recycler Study, a discussion of non-golf/sports turf usage and a Q&A session focused on Wiedenmann products. Once the presentations wrapped, guests were then taken to demos of artificial turf equipment and then to lunch at the North American headquarters of Wiedenmann North America, LLC.

“We find these meetings crucial for interacting with the new salesmen of our dealers and educating them on our full line of products. It’s also a great opportunity to hear feedback, ask questions and personally find what gaps we may have in the market. Of course, we do machine demos across the country throughout the year, but these few days allow us to share a wealth of information and try out nearly all of our machines,” said General Manager of North America, Will Wolverton.
